Cleocatra RTP: 96.20% or 95.50%? What the difference costs in pesos

Short answer — Pragmatic Play publishes two different RTP figures for Cleocatra. Its game page and the configuration returned by its official demo server both say 96.20%, while the game card on pragmaticplay.fun, a site run on Pragmatic Play's behalf, says 95.50%. Both can be real: providers commonly supply the same slot in more than one RTP setting and the casino chooses which one to run. The gap of 0.70 percentage points sounds small, but by our calculation it raises the theoretical average loss by about 18%, from ₱380 to ₱450 for every ₱10,000 staked. Everything else about the game is the same in both versions: a 5×4, 20-line slot released on 26 May 2022, with 2x or 3x multiplier wilds, a respin triggered by a full stack of cats on reel one, 8, 12 or 16 free spins with sticky wilds, an official hit frequency of 33.33% and a maximum win of 5,000x the bet.
This guide helps you check which version you are actually playing and what that choice is worth. Sources are linked next to each fact; figures marked "our calculation" were worked out by Lucky777 PH from those sources. Sources were checked on 15 October 2026.
Three official sources, two RTP figures
We compared every place where Pragmatic Play itself states the numbers. The official Cleocatra game page describes the 2x or 3x multiplier wilds, the cat-stack respin and the 8/12/16 free spins, and lists RTP 96.20%. The Cleocatra card on pragmaticplay.fun gives the release date, 33.33% hit frequency, bet range 0.20–240, "Medium" volatility, 100x bonus buy, no ante bet, 5,000x maximum and RTP 95.5%. The configuration that Pragmatic Play's official demo server returns when the game opens (game code vs20cleocatra) lists RTP 96.20 for normal play and 96.20 for the bonus buy, 20 lines, a 5,000x maximum and a maximum-win frequency of 1 in 950,000.
| Item | Value | Where it is stated |
|---|---|---|
| RTP | 96.20% | game page; demo server (normal and buy) |
| RTP | 95.50% | pragmaticplay.fun card |
| Release date | 26 May 2022 | pragmaticplay.fun |
| Layout | 5 reels × 4 rows, 20 lines | pragmaticplay.fun; demo server |
| Hit frequency | 33.33% | pragmaticplay.fun |
| Maximum win / frequency | 5,000x / 1 in 950,000 spins | pragmaticplay.fun; demo server |
| Bonus buy | 100x the bet; no ante bet | pragmaticplay.fun; demo server |
| Bet range | 0.20 – 240 (demo currency) | pragmaticplay.fun; demo server |
The demo field max_rnd_hr is read here as "maximum win frequency, 1 in N". We checked that reading on a Pragmatic title where both numbers are public: the official Sweet Bonanza 1000 Game Overview states "Max win hit frequency 1 in 71,428,571", and that game's demo field holds exactly 71428571.
Why two RTP numbers can both be official
A slot's RTP is a property of the mathematical model loaded on the server, not of the artwork. Providers often certify several models for one title so that each operator can pick the setting allowed in its market. Neither Pragmatic page says which setting a particular Philippine operator runs, so the only reliable check is the game itself: open Cleocatra on the platform you use, tap the information (ⓘ) or paytable button and read the RTP line. If it shows 95.50%, the lower model is loaded.
What 0.70 percentage points cost in pesos
The theoretical average loss is the total amount staked multiplied by (1 − RTP). It is a long-run average, not a forecast for one session (our calculation, hypothetical ₱10 spins).

| Spins at ₱10 | Staked | At 96.20% | At 95.50% | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | ₱5,000 | ₱190 | ₱225 | ₱35 |
| 1,000 | ₱10,000 | ₱380 | ₱450 | ₱70 |
| 2,000 | ₱20,000 | ₱760 | ₱900 | ₱140 |
| 5,000 | ₱50,000 | ₱1,900 | ₱2,250 | ₱350 |
The house's expected share is 3.80% in one version and 4.50% in the other, so the lower model takes about 18.4% more on average for the same amount of play. Within a single evening the random swings of the game are far larger than ₱70, which is why players rarely notice; the difference only becomes visible across many sessions. That is exactly why it is worth checking once and remembering, rather than guessing.
The paytable in multiples of your total bet
The demo server reports line wins in coins per line. Dividing by the 20 lines gives multiples of your total bet (our conversion). Symbol names are not included in the server data, so the rows are value tiers. Wild multipliers of 2x or 3x apply on top of these amounts when a wild is part of the line, according to the game page.
| Tier | 5 of a kind | 4 of a kind | 3 of a kind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top symbol | 20x | 5x | 1.5x |
| Tier 2 | 12.5x | 3.75x | 1.25x |
| Tier 3 | 7.5x | 2x | 0.75x |
| Tier 4 | 5x | 1.25x | 0.5x |
| Tier 5 | 3.75x | 0.75x | 0.35x |
| Tier 6 | 2.5x | 0.5x | 0.25x |
| Tiers 7–8 | 1.5x | 0.3x | 0.15x |
| Tiers 9–11 (lowest) | 1x | 0.25x | 0.1x |
Read the bottom rows with a peso in mind. At ₱10 a spin, three of the lowest symbols pay ₱1 and even five of them pay only ₱10, the stake back. A hit frequency of 33.33% — one winning spin in three on average — therefore does not mean one profitable spin in three. Many hits return less than the stake, and the value of the game is concentrated in multiplier wilds, the respin and the free spins.
How the cat respin and the free spins work
The game page describes two linked features. In the base game, a full vertical stack of cat symbols on reel one triggers a respin: all wilds and matching cat symbols become sticky and the reels respin until a winning line is formed. In the bonus game, three, four or five scatters award 8, 12 or 16 free spins, all wilds stay sticky until the end of the feature, and every full stack of cats on reel one adds two more free spins.
| Trigger | Result | Stickiness |
|---|---|---|
| Full cat stack on reel 1 (base game) | Respin until a winning line forms | Wilds and matching cats |
| 3 / 4 / 5 scatters | 8 / 12 / 16 free spins | All wilds, until the feature ends |
| Full cat stack on reel 1 (free spins) | +2 free spins | — |
| Bonus buy | Free spins for 100x the bet | As above |
Two practical points follow. The respin always ends with a win, but the rules do not promise that the win exceeds the stake; a respin finishing on a low-tier line can still return less than you bet. And the bonus buy at 100x is a ₱1,000 decision at ₱10 a spin. The demo server lists the buy at the same 96.20% as normal play in that version, so the theoretical average loss of one buy is about ₱38 (our calculation) — but the result of a single buy can range from a small fraction of ₱1,000 to far more, and Pragmatic Play does not publish how often the free spins trigger naturally.
Our official-demo sample: S_N paid spins
As original data, Lucky777 PH ran Cleocatra on Pragmatic Play's official demo server on 15 October 2026 at a total bet of 2.00 demo credits, without the bonus buy. Only spins that deducted a stake were counted, and every result was measured from the server's own balance. This is one play-money session. It illustrates how the official numbers can look over a short run; it does not measure RTP and says nothing about real-money results.
| Measure (one session) | Result |
|---|---|
| Spins recorded | 1,000 at 2.00 demo credits each (2,000 staked) |
| Spins with a win above zero | 297 (29.7%) |
| Winning spins below the stake | 186 (62.6% of winning spins) |
| Return to player, all spins | 136.74% of stake |
| Return to player, excluding the six feature results | 54.59% of stake |
| Largest single result | 621.7 credits (310.85x the bet) |
| Longest run without a win | 16 spins; seven runs of 10 or more |
| Result size (multiple of the bet) | Spins |
|---|---|
| No win | 703 |
| Below 1x | 186 |
| 1x to 5x | 79 |
| 5x to 20x | 22 |
| 20x to 100x | 7 |
| 100x and above | 3 |
Read this as a description of one session, not a measurement of the game. Six feature results paid 1,642.9 credits, which is 60% of all wins in the sample; the single largest result, 621.7 credits, is 23% of all wins by itself. Without those six results the sample returns 54.59%, and with them 136.74%. Neither figure is comparable with the published 95.50% or 96.20%, because the published figures are long-run averages over millions of spins. The sample hit rate of 29.7% is a little below the official 33.33%. With 1,000 spins, that gap could be ordinary variation or a different setting, and one session cannot separate the two (our calculation). The practical lesson is the same as the peso table above: a short run of any slot can look far better or far worse than its RTP.
Verified, calculated and unverified
Verified from Pragmatic Play sources: both published RTP figures and where each appears, release date, 5×4 and 20 lines, 2x/3x multiplier wilds, the cat-stack respin, 8/12/16 sticky-wild free spins and the +2 spins rule, 100x buy, no ante, bet range, 33.33% hit frequency, 5,000x maximum and its 1-in-950,000 frequency, and the paytable values.
Our calculation: the peso cost of each RTP version, the 18.4% difference, the paytable in total-bet multiples, the buy's theoretical loss, and the demo-sample analysis.
Not verified: which RTP model any particular Philippine operator runs; the natural free-spins trigger rate; how often the respin occurs; symbol names per paytable tier; scatter pay amounts; and peso bet limits. The volatility label "Medium" comes from pragmaticplay.fun only.
Before you play
Every spin is independent, and nothing above predicts the next one. Check the RTP line in the game's own information screen, set a budget and a stopping point before you start, and treat the bonus buy as a single large bet rather than a shortcut.
