Where the jackpot odds come from
A six-number draw has no order and no repeats, so the ticket count is a combination: C(n,6). For Lotto 6/42 that is C(42,6) = 5,245,786, so a single ticket faces odds of 1 in 5,245,786.
The same calculation gives 8,145,060 for 6/45, 13,983,816 for 6/49, 28,989,675 for 6/55 and 40,475,358 for 6/58. All five match the figures PCSO publishes, so nothing here requires taking anyone on trust.
The digit games are a different scale
3D Lotto, still called Swertres, draws three digits in order: 10 x 10 x 10 = 1,000 straight combinations. 2D Lotto (EZ2) draws two numbers from 1 to 31, in order, giving 31 x 31 = 961.
Both run three times daily at 2PM, 5PM and 9PM, and both pay fixed prizes rather than a moving jackpot. A straight 3D win pays PHP 4,500 per PHP 10 played; a straight 2D win pays PHP 4,000 per PHP 10.
Tax and the claim window
Under the TRAIN Law only prizes above PHP 10,000 carry the 20% final tax. A standard PHP 10 Swertres or EZ2 win sits below that line and is not taxed; jackpot prizes are. Tax is deducted when the ticket is validated, never collected from you in advance.
Prizes are claimable for one year from the draw date, and the claiming location depends on the amount. Every route requires you to present the physical ticket yourself.
Verifying a result safely
Check three things against the official source: the date, the draw time, and the numbers. If any one does not match, the result is not confirmed.
Type the official address yourself rather than following a link from the page showing you the result, and treat social-media screenshots as unverified - they can be edited, and an old draw can be reposted as today's.
Signals worth refusing
Nobody can know a result in advance, so any "guaranteed" number is a sales pitch. No legitimate claim requires an advance fee, and no official app sells you a ticket.
Each draw is independent of every draw before it, so a number that has not appeared recently has exactly the same chance as any other.
